Review by Kris Tucker

Chrysanthemum Storm, the latest album from Bill Direen & The Bilders, is a masterful work of experimental rock that showcases the band's unique sound and style. From the opening track, "The Wasp Factory", to the haunting closing track, "The Lights of Home", the album is a journey through the depths of Direen's imagination.

The album features a range of instrumentation, from the driving guitar riffs of "Empress of the North" to the haunting strings of "The Night the Clocks Changed". The lyrics are poetic and often surreal, with themes ranging from love and loss to politics and society.

Throughout the album, Direen's vocals are raw and emotional, conveying a sense of urgency and passion that is infectious. The band's musicianship is also top-notch, with each member contributing their own unique style and sound to the overall sound of the album.
