About Bride

The band, founded by brothers and from the US, was initially called . They released 4 independent cassettes. When they got a record contract with in 1986 they changed their name to Bride. Three albums and a compilation were released on Pure Metal, before they moved on to and released three albums with them (with the first one on the Pure Metal imprint). One of these, Snakes In The Playground (1992), is generally considered to be the quintessential Bride record. They released an album with (1995), two with (1997-1998), one with (2001), and they are currently with . Bride has released many independent, limited edition projects which include live recordings, demo projects and reissues, both in audio and video format. Initially these were sold without any retail distribution directly to their fans, later on they got access to distribution channels. Bride announced that Incorruptible (2013) would be their final album, but came out of retirement with Snake Eyes (2018) and are still recording.

I have been looking for the name of this song and the name of this band song since I was 12. Could only ever only remember one line in the lyrics..... lightening blister the skies...I finally found it after all this time! It was my introduction into Christian heavy metal and bordered on the line of something my strict Christian family considered to dark. All the more reason I liked it! It was classified as Christian but the music and lyrics told a different story. So glad I found this memory from my childhood! Thanks Bride!!
