Review by Jonathan Hawkins

Stations, the ninth studio album by Swedish electronic band Covenant, is a masterful work of art that showcases the band's signature sound and style. The album is a perfect blend of dark, brooding beats and haunting melodies that transport the listener to a dystopian world.

The album opens with the track "False Gods", which sets the tone for the rest of the album with its hypnotic beats and ominous vocals. From there, the album takes the listener on a journey through a world of dark soundscapes and haunting melodies.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "Stalker", which features a pulsing beat and haunting vocals that build to a crescendo of sound. Another standout track is "I Close My Eyes", which features ethereal vocals and a haunting melody that is both beautiful and eerie.

About The Covenant

The Covenant comes from Chesire (UK) and their rare privately pressed 12inch single is a fine sample of progressive and pompous post-NWOBHM. They also released a CD ("Spectres at the Feast") in 1994, in which they followed a neo-prog rock direction

Have a look at the video Stations Revisited on The Covenant's YouTube page "thecovenantuk".  It is a brand new song from their 2014 Album, Recreational Melancholy, which revisits the ideas of this original song.
