Scottish singer, songwriter and guitarist (b.10-May-1946, Glasgow). Was in a relationship with American model Enid Karl and they had two children: actor-musician in 1967 and actress in 1970. He married Linda Lawrence in October 1970. They have two children together, and Oriole. He is also the stepfather of Brian Jones' and Linda Lawrence's son, , also known as Julian Brian (Jones) Leitch. Donovan was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012 and the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2014. For any credits containing a variation of Donovans surname Leitch please use . Not to be confused with his son .

This is a wonderful live album - so pleased the extended version was also finally released. First saw him in '68 and many times thereafter. On this recording I find the versions of "Young Girl Blues" and "Celeste" far superior to those on the studio tracks. The flute on "Celeste" in particular is greatly effective.

i was so lucky to see him in Sydney when i was there with a ship.i suppose i was the only dutch guy and i had to sing all the songs, because i played guitar and learned a lot of his songs.great time and i miss it.

First listened to this the summer of 68 when me and my budy lived in an apartment in downtown Denver Colo enjoying the hippie lifestyle and once my busy flew to San Francisco to the haight and scored a hundred tabs of acid and shipped it back UPS so when it arrived I immediately dropped one went down to golden Apple hippie park he flew in and met me there and we got stoned all night long boy a long meaningless story huh✌?

He had that evasive link between lyric and melody. Also a good, unique voice. Did anyone catch the ad-libed line in Mellow Yellow "I'm just mad about 14 year old girls"? Hmmm.
