Review by Kush Chandna

Vol 8 is an album by Italian singer-songwriter Fabrizio De André, released in 1978. The album features ten tracks that showcase De André's unique blend of folk, rock, and pop music.

The album opens with the hauntingly beautiful "Il Pescatore," a song about a fisherman who longs to escape his mundane life. The track sets the tone for the rest of the album, which is filled with introspective lyrics and complex musical arrangements.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "Fiume Sand Creek," a song that tells the story of the Sand Creek massacre, a brutal attack on a Native American village in Colorado in 1864. De André's lyrics are powerful and emotional, and the music perfectly captures the tragedy of the event.

Another notable track is "Via del Campo," a song about a street in Genoa that was once a hub of activity and culture. The song is a nostalgic tribute to a bygone era, and De André's lyrics are filled with vivid imagery and poetic language.
