The Old, Old House
Oh my. I love you George Jones. Beautiful.
I purchased this album in 1963, after playing it good number of times, I decided that I would buy every record that George had made and ever would make. 54 years later I am still buying his music.
George Jones wrote this lament to a man’s love of his life. No one has ever sung this song like George did right here. Perfection on how it is done. From my late wife’s notes. God I miss my Shannon. Her Denny. I love you my Bear.
As a kid there was a old house in our town once a grand old place . Had a sad story behind it much like this song .
He has been my favorite singer my entire life and I'm now 72.
AWESOME ???LOVE IT
The true symbol of country music!
I've read that Musicor's sound board was a bit unreliable. Most of the Musicor stuff from Jones that I have heard is all from the complete bear family box sets. But I have one Musicor LP and it sounds pretty similar. It's funny, George's Musicor years seem to be the least heard and except for the consistency of the recording quality, they might be the best years of his career.
C`est la première fois que j`entends cette chanson, elle est très belle. Merci beaucoup Tom!
love it
Awesome, I think I may like this more than the Musicor version.
