Review by Marilyn Busch

Lynyrd Skynyrd's album "Free Bird Pajaro Libre" is a must-have for any classic rock fan. The album features some of the band's most iconic tracks, such as "Sweet Home Alabama" and "Free Bird," as well as lesser-known gems like "Workin' for MCA" and "The Needle and the Spoon."

The album showcases the band's signature Southern rock sound, with driving guitar riffs and soulful vocals. The musicianship on display is impressive, with each member contributing to the overall sound of the album.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "Tuesday's Gone," a slow-burning ballad that showcases the band's ability to create a powerful emotional impact with their music. Another highlight is "Gimme Three Steps," a catchy and upbeat track that will have listeners tapping their feet and singing along.

Lynyrd Skynyrd (pronounced /ˌlɛnərd ˈskɪnərd/ len-ərd-skin-ərd) is an American rock band best known for popularizing the Southern hard rock genre during the 1970s. Originally formed in 1964 as the "Noble Five" in Jacksonville, Florida, the band rose to worldwide recognition on the basis of its driving live performances and signature tunes "Sweet Home Alabama," and "Free Bird." At the peak of their success, three members died in an airplane crash in 1977, putting an abrupt end to the band's most popular incarnation. Surviving members re-formed in 1987 for a reunion tour with lead singer Ronnie Van Zant's younger brother Johnny as frontman. A version of the band continues to tour and record, with only Gary Rossington of its original members remaining as of 2012. Lynyrd Skynyrd was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on March 13, 2006.

VERY Intersting I wanted to hear this , I know the radio cut version of light my fire from the doors is very odd with some of the stuff missing.

This version doesn't have the long and boring guitar solo at the end. The guitar solo in this version has been edited. The guitar solo at the end of the album version is over four minutes long, whereas the guitar solo at the end of the single version is a little over one minute long

If I leave here tomorrow
Would you still remember me?
For I must be traveling on now
'Cause there's too many places I've got to see

But if I stay here with you, girl
Things just couldn't be the same
'Cause I'm as free as a bird now
And this bird you cannot change
Oh, oh, oh, oh
And the bird you cannot change
And this bird, you cannot change
Lord knows, I can't change

Bye-bye, baby, it's been sweet love, yeah, yeah
Though this feelin' I can't change
Please don't take it so badly
'Cause Lord knows, I'm to blame

If I stay here with you, girl
Things just couldn't be the same
'Cause I'm as free as a bird now
And this bird you cannot change
Oh, oh, oh, oh
And the bird you cannot change
And this bird, you cannot change

Lord knows, I can't change
Lord help me, I can't change
Lord, I can't change
Won't you fly high, free bird, yeah

I'm going to buy the 7 inch soon but I wish they kept at least another minute or two from the solo. One minute and change isn't enough.
Edit: I found one with the entire song on it. It has a lot of pops in the beginning but the whole solo is flawless ?

Garry Rossington : Guitar
Billy Powell : Piano
Bobby Burn : Drums
Ed King : Bass Guitar
Allen Collins : Guitar

Love it as much today as when it was new. Great music!! Just way too short at 4:47....edited too much. The album cut is way better.
