I first heard Lonnie with Pharaoh Sanders at Slugs' . Then with Pharaoh in concert.And his 1st gig with his own band doing this material at Top Of The Gate in
Greenwich Village. Heard him afterwards a few more times. Yes, it was a great time. It was a Fender Rhodes.that had a deep sound. I think it became just Fender with a tinny sound.

Sorry Apollo, but credit should be given where it is due. Little Richard opened that door you're speaking of, long before Sly and the Family Stone came along. Do the research. In fact, LR was queer and out without a doubt in the 50's when my mother+father saw him on the 'Chitlin' Circuit.' I love Sly too, but there is more to where the music comes from than many reference.
